Anyone who needs to explain a video's performance, not just observe it
TikTok video analyzer — see exactly why a video worked
By Michael, Founder, FYPNow · Updated 2026-09-25
Most analytics tell you a video got 400,000 views. That is the observation, not the explanation, and you cannot brief a creator on an observation. Video Analysis takes a single TikTok or YouTube Short apart: the hook type and the exact words used, where each scene starts and ends, the moment attention drops, a sentence-level transcript with timestamps, and the specific factors that made it work. What comes out is a mechanic you can repeat, not a post you can copy.
See it on a real video
Paste any TikTok, TikTok slideshow or YouTube Short and we'll run the full breakdown on it as soon as your trial starts — hook timing, scene structure and transcript for a video, slide by slide for a slideshow, and why it worked.
What this replaces
- •View counts tell you something worked without telling you what to do differently.
- •"Make the hook stronger" is not a brief anyone can execute.
- •Watching a competitor's video twenty times still leaves you guessing which two seconds mattered.
- •Whatever your best-performing video did, nobody on the team can articulate it well enough to do it again.

How it works
- 1Paste a TikTok or YouTube Shorts URL — a single video, a TikTok photo slideshow, or a TikTok creator profile to pull their recent posts.
- 2Every post runs through multimodal AI that reads the footage, not just the caption and metrics. A slideshow is read slide by slide, in order, with its sound.
- 3You get the hook classified by type and quoted verbatim, scene boundaries with timings, pacing and energy, presenter and production signals, and a timestamped transcript.
- 4A TikTok slideshow gets its own breakdown instead: what each slide says and shows and the job it does, how strong the cover is, what drives people to swipe through and save, and the role the sound plays.
- 5Virality factors name what carried the video, and improvement suggestions name what would have carried it further.
- 6Every analyzed video stays in your catalog, so the breakdown is there next time you need it.
What you get
Which plan you need
Analysis is metered by how many videos you break down, so the entry tier covers a single account learning what works before scaling up.
Questions
Can I analyze any TikTok, or only my own?
Any public TikTok. Most people start with a competitor's best video, because the interesting question is usually why someone else's worked.
Does it work on YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Paste a YouTube Shorts link (youtube.com/shorts, a watch link or youtu.be) and you get the same breakdown as a TikTok, and it counts as one analyzed video. The only difference is that YouTube does not publish shares or saves, so those are not shown for a Short.
Does it work on TikTok photo slideshows?
Yes. Paste a TikTok slideshow link (tiktok.com/@user/photo/…) and it reads every slide in order, plus the sound. Slideshows get their own breakdown rather than the video one: what each slide says and shows, how strong the cover is, which slide pays the post off, and what drives people to swipe through and save. Slideshows TikTok renders as a video get the same slide-by-slide treatment. A slideshow has no scenes or spoken script, so there is no scene timing or transcript for one. It counts as one analyzed video.
Does it actually watch the video?
Yes. The analysis is multimodal — it reads the footage, the audio and the on-screen text, which is how it can tell you where a scene changes and when attention drops. It is not inferring from the caption.
How is this different from the free hook generator?
The free tool writes you hook options from a topic. This reads a real video that already worked and tells you which hook it used and why it held. One is a starting point; the other is evidence.
Do I need to add a creator first?
No. Paste a single video link and it analyzes that video. Adding a creator is for when you want their posts tracked over time.
